Norfolk, VA - The Lady Bobcats were back in action this weekend against Johnston Community College. On Saturday, after not playing for two weeks, started off slow and ended the first half up 22-16. The Lady Bobcats took a 38-25 half time lead. In the second half, the Bobcats came out with a lot of energy and won their third game of the season 89-48.
Mariah Igus had 19pts, 5 steals, and 6 assists, Ashanti Broughton had 17pts and 7 Rebs, Reagan Wilson had 13pts and 5 assists and Shikira Perry added 8pts and 10 assists.
On Sunday, the Lady Bobcats had their hands full against Brunswick Community College. They were down 29-17 after the first quarter. The Bobcats ended the half up 40-38. In the second half, the score stayed close the rest of the game. The Bobcats went down by three with 3 minutes to go in the game before they took the lead by three. The Lady Bobcats won 70-66 for their fourth win of the season.
Mariah Igus led the team in scoring with 19pts. She hit key free throws during the last minute of the game. Ashanti Broughton finished with 18-points and 6 rebounds. While Jocelyn Myers added 14-points, 7-assist and Shikira Perry added 13-points.
