LADY BOBS 113 vs. JOHNSTON COMMUNITY COLLEGE 69
After losing a close one on the road Saturday the Bobcats would turn right around to defend home court against conference opponent Johnston Community College. The Bobcats would jump off to a hot start going on a 12-4 run the first 3 minutes of the game. The Bobcats applied defensive pressure and would score 33 points in the second quarter to take a commanding lead at halftime 60-34. The second half would not be any different , the Bobcats continued to apply defensive pressure and put up big numbers to win their first conference game 113-69. The Bobcats were lead by freshman guard Tiara Williams who scored 32 points and 5 steals. Sophomore Shauntierra O'Guin would continue her double double streak (5 games in a row) with 17 points 13 rebounds, Sophmore Tyeasha Fagan would have a big game with 15 points 6 rebounds and 6 assist. Tamiya Johnson came off the bench and added a double double with 10 points, 12 rebounds and 4 steals. The Bobcats defense continue to get better as a whole. We are proud of the way the team responded to Saturday's lost. We will continue to get better as a team and prepare for our next conference game Saturday, November 18th on the road.
