Louisburg College men's basketball took on Johnston Community College in Roger Taylor Arena on Thursday night. The Hurricanes had 8 blocks in the contest, but it was not enough to hold off Johnston. In a game with 17 lead changes, Johnston pulled out the victory 81-80.

Louisburg had 30 made field goals compared to Johnston's 26. However, Johnston was 24-28 from the free throw line, while Louisburg was only 10-19.

"Kamon Green is a good player and we allowed him into the paint much too often," said Louisburg coach Bryan Bagwell. "We have to make defense more of a priority starting right now."

Jahiem Niblett led the Hurricanes with 20 points and 11 rebounds. Justin Stephens had 18 points including 4 three pointers. Jimmy Forte had 13 and Luke Jones added 12.

Men's basketball takes the floor again on Saturday against Guilford Technical Community College at 3:00 PM. The Hurricanes won the first meeting 91-73.
