Three Jaguar Men's Basketball Players garner Region 10 Accolades

Johnston Community Colleges mens basketball players Caleel Mitchell, Erik Alvey, and Michael Hill have been recognized for their 2019-2020 NJCAA Region 10 on court performances.  

Caleel Mitchell, selected to the NJCAA Region 10 All-Region Team, is no stranger to post season accolades.  From Maxton, NC. the point guard has been leading the Jaguars every since he stepped foot on campus.  Caleel played his high school basketball at Red Springs High School and is poised and on track to take his talents to the next level after completing his Associates of Arts degree.

 

Michael Hill, selected to the NJCAA Region 10 All-Freshman Team, is a newcomer to the Jaguars program and has already began making his 6'6" presence known.  Michael played his highschool basketball in Raleigh, NC. where he also sharpened his academic skills.  He currently boast a solid gpa of over 3.5, displaying his ability to get it done on and off the court.

 

Erik Alvey, selected as the NJCAA Region 10 Freshman of the Year and to the NJCAA Region 10 All-Freshman Team, is also a newcomer and budding star to the Jaguars program.  Erik calls Durham, NC home and played his high school basketball at Holly Springs High School.  Erik is no stranger to hard work, as he works hard in the classroom as well with a gpa of over 3.0.
